What Will You
Experience?
During your first visit with the hypnotherapist you will
learn about hypnotism and become comfortable with it. Your
hypnotherapist will discuss your interests and desires to
determine if hypnotherapy can help you accomplish what you
want to achieve. If both of you feel it is worthwhile to
proceed, your hypnotherapist will use hypnosis to help you
solve your problems and reach your goals. |
| During hypnosis you will feel deeply relaxed. With all
troubles, pains and other negative thoughts cleared from your
mind you will be able to focus intently on all the suggestions
the therapist gives you. |
Will I Lose Control
Without Knowing It?
Hypnosis does not possess the power to control other
people's minds. They guide you into deep relaxation so that
you can access your unconscious mind. In this state you are
not constrained by the inhibitions that will normally prevent
you from accessing you inner thoughts and feelings. If you
don't want to reveal things that are private, you won't. |
Can I Be Made To Do
Something Against My Will?
No! Hollywood notwithstanding, any suggestions contrary to
your convictions will either be ignored by you, or you will
come out of the hypnotic state. The stage hypnotist has
contributed to the image of hypnosis as a "trance"
or "sleeplike" state. However, under hypnosis all of
your five senses are heightened. |
